Régis Souto — Brazilian-Canadian Multimedia Artist, Toronto

Régis Souto paints what deserves to be kept: tropical birds suspended against black fields, carnival faces built over buried poems, flowers isolated from the noise, bodies negotiating between discipline and desire. One hand holds it all together — the black contour line, layered construction, backgrounds that erase everything that doesn't matter. Brazilian-born, Toronto-based, queer.

Painting as a frontier. Identity as movement.

Solo Exhibition · The Show Gallery · April 2026

Beyond the Contour

Oil paintings about the body's relationship to identity, choice, and what we decide to keep.
Seven days. Three acts. One hundred and thirty people.
